A non-refundable deposit of [X%] of the total transport fee is required at the time of booking to secure your reservation.
-
Full payment is due [X] days before the scheduled transport.
-
We reserve the right to refuse transportation of any pet that we deem unfit for travel due to health or behavioral concerns, and we will communicate this promptly.
4. Client Responsibilities
-
Accurate Information: You are required to provide accurate and complete details regarding your pet’s health, behavior, and any special needs prior to booking. Failure to do so may result in delays or cancellation of transport.
-
Vaccinations: All pets must be up-to-date on vaccinations and provide documentation to verify this prior to transport. Specific vaccination requirements may vary based on the transport destination.
-
Health Certification: For pets traveling internationally or over long distances, a valid health certificate from a licensed veterinarian will be required within [X] days of departure.
-
Leads and Collars: All pets must be transported in a secure carrier or crate, appropriate to their size, with a leash and collar attached. We reserve the right to refuse transport if your pet’s crate is deemed unsafe.
-
Cancellation: You may cancel or reschedule your transport at any time, but deposits are non-refundable. Cancellations made [X] days before the scheduled transport may receive a partial refund, excluding the deposit and administrative fees.
5. Pet Care During Transport
-
Comfort & Safety: We strive to ensure that all pets are comfortable and safe during transport. Pets will be housed in climate-controlled vehicles, and there will be regular stops for food, water, and exercise.
-
Behavioral Concerns: If your pet exhibits behavior that poses a risk to themselves, other pets, or our staff (including but not limited to aggression, extreme anxiety, or excessive noise), we may refuse service or make adjustments to the transport plan.
-
Health Emergencies: In the event of a medical emergency, we will seek immediate veterinary care for your pet. You agree to cover any additional costs for veterinary treatment incurred during transport.
6. Insurance and Liability
-
Insurance: Platinum Pet Journey LLC provides basic insurance coverage for each transport, which includes coverage for injury, loss, or death during the transport process. However, we recommend purchasing additional pet insurance for high-value pets or international transport.
-
Limitation of Liability: Platinum Pet Journey LLC is not liable for any indirect or consequential damages. Our liability is limited to the direct costs incurred due to failure to fulfill the terms of this agreement. In the event of a loss, injury, or death of your pet during transport, our liability is limited to the lesser of the pet’s market value or the transport fee paid.
7. Transport Delays and Modifications
-
Delays: While we strive to maintain the agreed-upon timeline, delays may occur due to weather, traffic, or other unforeseen circumstances. We will notify you of any delays as soon as possible.
-
Modifications: Any changes to the transport itinerary must be made in writing and may be subject to additional fees. We reserve the right to modify routes for safety or logistical reasons.
8. Pet Transport Restrictions
-
Aggressive or Dangerous Animals: We do not transport pets with a history of aggression or dangerous behavior unless specifically discussed and agreed upon. Such pets may require additional care or special handling, which may result in an increase in fees.
-
Pregnant or In-Heat Animals: We reserve the right to refuse transport for pets that are pregnant or in heat, as these animals may be at a higher risk of stress or complications during travel.
-
Unfit for Transport: If a pet is deemed unfit for transport due to illness or injury (as determined by our team or a veterinarian), the transport will be rescheduled or canceled, and the customer will be responsible for any additional fees incurred.
